Customer Policies

最后更新:2026年11月6日

These policies apply to our Lake Forest, CA location only. For policies at our Sterling, VA location, please call the Sterling front desk at (571) 313-0061.

These policies apply to training programs, court reservations, memberships, walk-in play and the Pro Shop at Royal Badminton Academy’s Lake Forest, CA location.

  • 1. Training Program Policies
  • 2. Court Reservation Policies
  • 3. Membership & Multi-Visit Pass Policies
  • 4. General Facility & Walk-In Policies
  • 5. Pro Shop Policies

1. Training Program Policies

Monthly Enrollment & Tuition

  • All training programs operate on a monthly enrollment basis.
  • Tuition is due on the first day of each month.
  • Monthly tuition is calculated using the number of scheduled sessions, each session’s duration, and the student’s applicable hourly or session rate.
  • Students are expected to commit to their enrolled weekly training schedule for the month.

Attendance & Makeup Classes

  • Students are expected to attend their scheduled training sessions.
  • No makeup classes, tuition credits, or refunds are offered for student-initiated absences, including scheduling conflicts, travel, illness, injury, and other personal circumstances.
  • Parents and students should inform staff of anticipated absences. Extraordinary situations may be reviewed by management individually.

Withdrawal & Monthly Renewal

  • Families wishing not to continue into the next month must notify management before the first day of that month.
  • Requests made after the month begins are subject to the Monthly Tuition Refund Deadline below.
  • Withdrawal does not automatically entitle the student to a partial refund for unused sessions.

Monthly Tuition Refund Deadline

  • A full monthly tuition refund is available if a student withdraws before the start of the first scheduled class included in that student’s monthly enrollment.
  • For a student who enrolls mid-month, the refund deadline is the start of the first scheduled class covered by that new enrollment.
  • Once that first scheduled class begins, the enrolled month’s tuition is nonrefundable, even if the student does not attend.
  • No partial refunds or attendance credits are issued for missed or remaining classes after the refund deadline.

Enrollment Continuity, Rate Protection & Frequency Changes

  • Students who renew or return within 10 calendar days of the end of their prior enrollment may retain their previous rate structure only when returning to the same program and weekly frequency. The 10-day period starts at the end of the prior paid enrollment, not the date a withdrawal is requested.
  • Reducing the number of enrolled sessions per week is treated as a new enrollment at the current applicable tuition.
  • After a reduction takes effect, students may restore their previous program, weekly training frequency, and previous rates within 10 calendar days of that effective date. After the 10-day period, the earlier rate plan is forfeited.
  • Students increasing weekly frequency while still on their existing rate plan may use the corresponding frequency-based rate within that plan.
  • Switching programs or returning after the applicable 10-day period results in a new enrollment at current rates.
  • Enrollment adjustments are subject to class availability and management approval; prior class spots are not guaranteed.

Holiday Training Schedules

  • Holiday training schedules, including any alternative or replacement sessions, will be communicated by management.
  • Training expectations may differ by program, including competitive training groups. Specific arrangements will be determined and communicated for each holiday.

Illness, Injury & Extraordinary Circumstances

  • Illness and injury absences follow the standard attendance and refund policies.
  • Extraordinary requests may be evaluated individually by management. An exception in one situation does not create an automatic exception for others.

Arrival, Departure & Court Time

  • Students must arrive on time, ready to train. Arriving late does not extend the session; leaving early does not produce additional training time or credits.
  • Training enrollment includes court access only during scheduled class hours. Students who wish to play beyond class hours must pay the applicable walk-in admission or book a court separately.

Student Conduct, Coaching & Placement

  • Students must respect coaches, classmates and staff, follow coaching instructions, and make reasonable efforts to complete assigned training activities.
  • Coaches determine training content, skill-level evaluation and class placement. Unsafe or disruptive conduct may be referred to management.

Parents, Guardians & Communication

  • Parents or guardians are responsible for timely drop-off and pickup and for students arriving with suitable attire and equipment.
  • Royal Badminton intends to hold parent meetings approximately once every two months to discuss progress, program changes and feedback.
  • Parents may raise concerns with coaching staff or management outside active class time, but may not interrupt the coaching process.

Classes Canceled by Royal Badminton

  • If Royal Badminton cancels a scheduled group training session, management will arrange a replacement class or issue a credit equal to the value of the canceled session.
  • Credits may be applied only toward future group training tuition.
  • Credits must be redeemed within 30 calendar days from their issuance date. A credit applied during that period may pay for classes occurring later.
  • Management determines whether to provide a replacement session or a credit and communicates the arrangement to affected students.
  • This rule is distinct from a student missing an otherwise scheduled class.

2. Court Reservation Policies

Booking, Payment & Registered Players

  • Court reservations must be paid before the booking group checks in.
  • Each reserved court permits a maximum of six registered players; front desk staff check players in under their reservation.
  • Reservation groups with more than six registered players must book additional courts.

Reserved Court Usage

  • Reservation players may use only the court or courts they booked and only during the confirmed reservation period.
  • Reservation payment does not grant access to other reserved or walk-in courts.
  • Late arrival does not extend the scheduled end time.

End of Booking

  • At the end of a reservation, the group must vacate the booked court.
  • To continue playing, the group may request an extension at the applicable court rate, subject to availability, or purchase walk-in admission to use available walk-in courts.

Cancellations, Refunds & Rescheduling

  • Customer-initiated cancellations of confirmed court reservations are nonrefundable.
  • Rescheduling requests must be submitted at least 24 hours before the reservation begins.
  • Rescheduled times depend on available courts and management approval. Requests inside the 24-hour window may not be accommodated.

Court Assignment

  • Royal Badminton may adjust court assignments for facility operations. An alternative date, time or preferred court is not guaranteed.

3. Membership & Multi-Visit Pass Policies

Individual Memberships

  • Memberships belong to one registered individual and may not be transferred or shared.
  • Members must follow registration, waiver and check-in procedures.

Multi-Visit Passes

  • Multi-visit passes may be shared with eligible family members, including spouses, partners and children, as well as other family members approved by management.
  • Passes may not be shared with friends or unrelated persons without management approval.
  • Each pass user must complete check-in and registration requirements; each entry deducts the applicable visit balance.

4. General Facility & Walk-In Policies

Facility Property & Equipment

  • Customers must respect courts, flooring, mats, nets, poles, furniture and other facility equipment, and must not damage or misuse them.
  • Management may assess damage and require reasonable repair or replacement payment where a customer is responsible.
  • Damage or unsafe equipment must be reported to staff.

Court Footwear

  • Players must wear suitable non-marking athletic shoes on courts.
  • Crocs, sandals, slippers and other inappropriate or floor-marking footwear are not permitted.

Walk-In Court Access & Reservation Priority

  • Walk-in players check in independently rather than under a particular reserved court.
  • Walk-in admission allows shared recreational use of unreserved courts only; it does not guarantee a particular court or uninterrupted play.
  • Court reservations and scheduled programs take priority. Walk-in players must stop playing and immediately vacate a court when a confirmed reservation begins, including when a game is in progress.
  • Walk-in players must follow court assignment and access instructions from staff.

Walk-In Rotation & Waiting Order

  • Walk-in rotation follows first-come, first-served waiting order.
  • Under the standard rotation system, the winner stays and the loser rotates off after each game.
  • Every player is limited to two consecutive games, regardless of match outcomes. After two games, players must rotate off to allow the next waiting participants to play.

Multi-Shuttle Training

  • Multi-shuttle drills and structured multi-shuttle training are not permitted under walk-in admission.
  • These activities require a separately paid court reservation. Management determines which activities require dedicated court access.

Organized Events & Dedicated Court Use

  • Tournaments, classes, competitions, organized events and other activities requiring exclusive or dedicated court use must be arranged through paid court reservations and may require management approval.
  • Walk-in admission does not authorize exclusive court use for organized activities.

Cleanliness & Waste Disposal

  • All shuttlecock tubes, bottles, packaging and other personal waste must be discarded in regular gym trash cans.
  • Court-side collection bins are for used shuttlecocks only. Do not put other trash in them or kick or misuse the bins.
  • Players must leave courts and surrounding areas clean.

Court Etiquette & Sportsmanship

  • Respect players, guests, coaches and staff. Do not cross active courts during rallies or disrupt others’ play.
  • Follow staff directions, court assignments, and the walk-in rotation process. Aggressive, dangerous or disruptive behavior is prohibited.

Food, Beverages & Spills

  • Customers are responsible for food and drinks, for preventing spills and for proper disposal of waste.
  • Report food or beverage spills immediately to a Royal Badminton staff member and avoid the affected area until safe.

Personal Belongings

  • Customers are responsible for their personal belongings. Royal Badminton does not assume responsibility for lost, stolen, damaged or unattended items.

Animals

  • Animals are permitted if appropriately controlled and not interfering with players, guests, or facility operations.
  • Owners and handlers are responsible for their animals’ supervision, conduct and cleanliness. Management may address safety or disruption concerns.

5. Pro Shop Policies

Eligible Returns & Refund Period

  • Eligible regular-price merchandise may be returned within 30 calendar days of purchase with proof of purchase.
  • Shoes: unworn, in original condition, with the original box and packaging.
  • Rackets: unused, unstrung, unmodified, with original packaging and tags.
  • Accessories: unused, unopened, and in the original sealed packaging.

Final-Sale Merchandise

  • Sale, clearance and promotional-discount items are final sale and are not eligible for standard refunds or store credit.
  • Used, worn, damaged, opened or modified items do not qualify for standard returns.
  • Rackets that have been strung or customized after purchase are not eligible for standard returns.
  • Items outside the 30-day return window are not eligible for standard returns.

Refund Method & Authorization

  • For an eligible return, customers may choose a refund to the original payment method or Royal Badminton Pro Shop store credit.

Backorders

  • Backorders are offered for selected merchandise that is temporarily out of stock.
  • Confirmed backorders are normally nonrefundable. If the item is no longer offered or cannot be supplied, Royal Badminton will arrange a refund.
  • Customers will be informed of the order status and relevant delivery information when available.

Manufacturing Defects & Warranty Requests

  • Potential product defects and manufacturer warranty claims are reviewed separately from the standard change-of-mind return policy.
